Primary 5 have had a lot of discussions over the year about digital safety. For Internet Safety Day this year we spoke about some of the personal information that should not be shared online. For the most part many of the subjects were a definite ‘No’ to sharing.
There were several discussion about whether a real picture of yourself is safe to share online; for example as a profile picture. In the end the class decided that at this age they would not share a real picture of themselves, but use an avatar picture instead such as the one below.
Over the course of the year and this week the children have shown a good insight into being able to enjoy a digital life whilst staying safe online.
